The Initial Coverage Election Period (ICEP) is the period when you can enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan for the first time. Your ICEP begins three months before you are enrolled in both Parts A and B and ends either the last day of the second month after the month in which you are first entitled to Part A and enrolled in Part B, or the last day of your Part B Initial Enrollment Period, whichever is later.
