A free look period is the 30-day period that starts when you switch to a new Medicare supplemental insurance (Medigap) policy. During this time, you can decide if you want to keep the new Medigap policy. You will need to pay both premiums for one month. If you decide to switch, do not cancel your first Medigap policy until you have decided to keep the second Medigap policy.
